UW-Rock County Foundation Presents Alumni Awareness Award

Janesville –Dave Holterman of Milton was selected as the recipient of the November 2009 Alumni Awareness Award presented by the UW-Rock County Foundation.

The Alumni Awareness Award, first presented in September 2008, was created to honor UW-Rock County alumni or former students who are recognized for their expertise and good works. These notable people must have attended UW-Rock County for at least one year, completed a higher education degree and distinguished themselves through achievements and service or contributions to Rock County, where they live and work.

Holterman, a Vice President with M&I Bank since 1997, first became a student at UW-Rock County in the fall 1993. He went on to complete a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance from UW-Whitewater. Holterman has been active in the community with such organizations as the Milton Area Chamber of Commerce Industry and Tourism, United Way, Evansville Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Development Academy and Janesville Morning Rotary.

While attending UW-Rock County, Holterman felt the level of commitment that was required to succeed at UW-Rock County was much higher than high school and truly prepared him for the transfer to UW-Whitewater “I would highly recommend spending the first two years of your college career at UW-Rock County, said Holterman. “Give the campus the full two years -- you won’t regret it.”
