Animal Expert McConnell to Speak at UW-Rock

Janesville – Dr. Patricia McConnell of public radio’s Calling All Pets! will present “Darwin, Dogs and the Emotional Life of Animals” at UW-Rock County on Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. The presentation will be held in the Kirk Denmark Theatre in the Wells Cultural Center on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave.

McConnell is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist and world-renowned expert on canine and feline behavior and training. Also an adjunct associate professor of zoology at UW-Madison, McConnell has seen clients for serious behavioral problems since 1988. She’ll dispense advice on behavior problems and provide information about animal behavior research at this engaging program.

The UW-Rock County Performing Arts and Lecture Series is sponsoring the program and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Rock County Humane Society. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $10 for UW-Rock County students. Advance tickets are available by calling (608) 758-6565 ext. 100 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets may also be available at the door a half-hour before the presentation.
