Learn About Exotic Pets at UW-Rock County
Janesville See some amazing animals and learn what it takes to care for an exotic pet at a public program at UW-Rock County on Friday, October 16, at 7 p.m. Beth Randall of Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary in German Valley, Ill. will present the program in the Hyatt Smith Hall Commons on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave.
Critter Camp is a licensed, non-profit sanctuary that cares for more than 200 animals of 30 different species. Some of the animals expected to be on hand for the campus program will be a bearded dragon, golden Greek tortoise, degu, ferret, hedgehog and others. Randall will talk about the animals natural habitats and what to consider before buying an exotic pet.
The cost for this all-ages program is $5. Register by calling the Office of Continuing Education at (608) 758-6565 ext. 360. Tickets may also be available at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.
