Register now for Summer Courses for Kids at UW-Rock

Janesville – UW-Rock County has some openings for children going inton grades 2-4 to participate in summer LEAPS programs and for students in grades 5 through 8 to participate in College for Kids, both held July 20-24.

Children in LEAPS courses will meet 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each morning and can choose one Session I course and one Session II course for at total of $89. The following Session I LEAPS courses have openings: Aspiring Architects, Fun & Fest of Puppetry, How Stuff Works, Shoebox Science and Spanish Around the World. The following Session II LEAPS courses have openings: How Stuff Works, Create Your Own Board Game and Spanish Around the World.

College for Kids participants will meet from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day and can choose one Session I course and one Session II course for a total of $159, or one of either session for $89. Session I courses with openings are Poly by Golly: Polygons, Polyhedrons and Polytopes; and Vamos de Viaje, an exploration of Hispanic culture. Session II courses with openings include Dare to Draw/Super Sculptors and Gear Up for Bicycles.
