Tickets on Sale for Seventh Annual A Taste of Culture

JANESVILLE - Forty-five locally known artists will show and sell their work at the seventh annual A Taste of Culture, a spring benefit for the University of Wisconsin-Rock County Foundation. The event will be held Friday, May 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the UW-Rock County campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave.

A Taste of Culture is a lively mix of fine art, great food and music. Several new artists will participate in this year's event, showcasing pieces in a variety of media, including watercolors, acrylics, photography, jewelry, silk painting, pencil drawings, pottery and sculpture. All of the artwork is original.

Featured artists include Karolyn Alexander, Lori Barry, Peter Bell, Mary Ann Betlach, David Brickman, Robert Buell, Kurt Buggs, Helen Byron, Jennifer Drach, Mark Dziewior, Claudiadiar Fitzgerald, Rich Fletcher, Joyce Follis, Connie Glowacki, Liz Hansch, Gail Hatton, Ruth Hintze, Ann Johnson, Michael Julian, Marilyn Keating, Marek Kossiba, Sandra Kuxmann-Weber, Mike Loftus, Lynette McDonald, Kristine Moser, Pat Moxley, Dolly Owens, Tanya Phillips, Linda Prowse, Alicia Reid, James Richter, Harold Rotzoll, Val Saxer, Larry Schultz, Steve Servantez, Edward Thomas, Betty Thompson, Sherry Thurner, Leslie Weil, Beth White, Dan Wilcox, Suzann Wimmer and Katie Winchell. Most artists with works for sale will attend the event.

Tickets for A Taste of Culture are $50 per person when ordered in advance by calling (608) 758-6628 or $75 per person at the door. Event proceeds provide scholarships to students, faculty development and community programming at UW-Rock County.
