Learn to Dance at UW-Rock County
Janesville UW-Rock Countys Office of Continuing Education will offer two dance classes in April that are open to the public. The classes will meet on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave.
Wedding Reception Sampler is a crash course designed to help participants brush up or learn basic dance steps to help them enjoy upcoming weddings -- whether they are the bridal couple or guests. Instructor Michael Mattek will introduce the waltz, fox trot and polka. The class is open to high school students and adults. It will meet from noon to 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 4. The cost is $40 per couple or $20 for an individual.
Line Dancing for Beginners is a four-session class taught by Carol Roy that introduces participants ages 10 through adult to basic steps and how to put them together in many different dances, such as the honky tonk stomp and electric slide. The hour-long class meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 16, 23 and 30, and May 7. The cost is $29 per person.
To register for these courses, call (608) 758-6565 ext. 360 or visit www.rock.uwc.edu/courses/continuing.
