UW-Rock Rattlers Receive Conference Recognition

Janesville – UW-Rock County student and member of the UW-Rock County Rattlers women’s basketball team Kaylyn Sherrod was named First Team All Conference by the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC) and First Team All State by the Wisconsin Junior College Athletic Association (WJCAA). Sherrod is a Beloit Turner High School graduate who also played for the Rattlers last year during the inaugural season of the women’s team.

The WCC awarded honorable mention to the Rattlers’ Tiffany Draeving and Kelsey Kersten, both Parkview High School graduates.

Fred Stewart, of Beloit who is a graduate of The Walter Payton Academy in Chicaco, and Mario Selph, a graduate of Delavan-Darien High School, were named to the WCC First Team All Conference and the WJCAA First Team All State for the UW-Rock County men’s basketball team.

The following Rattler players received All State Academic recognition from the WJCAA: Parker High School graduate Keith Neuberger, Kelsey Kersten of Footville and Beloit Turner graduate Nicole Hunter.
