UW-Rock County Foundation Brick Program Supports Scholarships

Janesville – Just in time for holiday gift-giving, the UW-Rock County Foundation announces an opportunity to be a part of an exciting era on the campus and also support scholarships for students in need through the purchase of commemorative bricks.
Engraved brick pavers that will be permanently featured in the walkway and patio outside the newly constructed Allen Hall on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Drive will allow students, staff, faculty, alumni and supporters of the campus and community to leave their mark on the campus with a name or message engraved on a brick paver.
“The brick sale is an easy way for the thousands of former students we have to show support, give back and help others get the start they need to earn a bachelor’s degree,” says Jennifer Johns, UW-Rock County Foundation executive director. “It’s also a great opportunity for the public to simply show support of the campus and the Foundation’s important role in the community.”
Johns also anticipates people will buy bricks as gifts for graduations and other occasions, as well as memorials and to honor someone who appreciates the value of education in our community.
Funds raised through the brick sales will support the UW-Rock County Foundation’s mission to provide scholarships to UW-Rock County students. More than 40 such scholarships are awarded each year and the proceeds from the brick sale will allow the Foundation to offer larger awards and additional benefits to students in need.
