Prep for New Year’s Eve with UW-Rock County Dance Classes

Janesville – The University of Wisconsin-Rock County will offer beginning waltz classes and a New Year’s Eve Sampler dance class in December on the campus at 2909 Kellogg Ave.

Instructor John Wood will introduce participants to one of the most popular ballroom dances, the waltz, through two sessions held in the Kirk Denmark Theatre on the campus from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Fridays, December 5 and 12. Participants can sign up with or without a partner for this two-session course. The cost is $30 per couple or $35 per individual.

Get ready to dance the night away on New Year’s Eve with a workshop led by long-time dance instructor Michael Mattek. Participants will learn the basics of two All-American dances, the sophisticated fox trot, and the feel-good swing. This class will meet from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Kirk Denmark Theatre. The cost is $40 per couple or $20 per individual.
