UW-Rock County is fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Therefore, credits earned will be accepted by other colleges and universities in Wisconsin and throughout the country.
Most students who attend UW-Rock County are planning to transfer to a four-year campus to complete a bachelor’s degree. Students can successfully transfer to any UW, out-of-state, public or private college or university. This includes UW-Madison.
In recent years, UW-Rock County students have gone on to complete bachelor’s degrees in
business, education, health sciences, biology, psychology, communication arts, sociology, art, engineering, agriculture, computer science, and many other majors.
The two-year Associate of Arts and Sciences degree is specifically designed for transfer and can be customized to support any major or program found at the four-year campuses. Completion of the degree fulfills all of the basic general education requirements at UW schools — you’re halfway to your bachelor’s degree!
Through our advising program, students receive careful assistance in selecting courses in planning for transfer. The Transfer Information System is a helpful resource for determining course equivalencies between the UW campuses. UW-Rock County also hosts representatives from the four-year campuses twice a year for Transfer Day.
Students who complete two years at UW-Rock County are eligible for the Guaranteed Transfer Program within the UW System, which takes the worry out of getting to the next step.
