History
Since 1965, more than two million students have earned a college degree through the support of TRIO programs nationwide.
The original TRIO program in the UW Colleges began at UW-Waukesha in the late 1970s. The program now includes UW-Rock County, UW-Baraboo, and UW-Marathon County.
At UW-Rock County, TRIO has been serving students since 1980. More than 300 students in the program have gone on to earn their four-year degree at schools around the state and the nation. The success of these students can be seen on the TRIO Wall that hangs in the Andrews-Williams Lobby. This series of five frames list students names, their graduating institution and their degree and the date of its completion. Names are regularly added to the TRIO Wall as students share their success stories.
