Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Rock County! We take great pride in the fact that our students reap the benefits of a small liberal arts college and the standards of excellence identified with the University of Wisconsin. Our local convenience and great value increasingly make UW-Rock County the first choice for college for both new high school graduates and adult students in the Janesville region.
UW-Rock County is one of 13 freshman-sophomore liberal arts transfer campuses of the UW Colleges and offers an Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree (AAS). Our talented faculty and staff are dedicated to preparing students for more than 200 college majors and unlimited career opportunities. And, I’m proud to report that students who earn their AAS degree from UW-Rock County and then transfer to another UW System campus are very successful in completing their bachelor’s degrees. In fact, our students complete their bachelor’s degrees at higher rates than other transfer students.
While transfer to any UW System campus is guaranteed after earning the AAS, many students decide to complete their bachelor’s degree right in Janesville or online through UW-Rock County’s collaborative degree programs with other UW schools in areas such as nursing, engineering, liberal studies, information sciences & technology, organizational administration or communication.
UW-Rock County students are prepared to be the leaders of tomorrow. Whether you are interested in teaching, health care, business or the humanities, or are still thinking about your place in the world, UW-Rock County will give you the caring, challenging, student-oriented environment that you need to meet your goals.
I know you will benefit from the distinctive academic and co-curricular programs offered at UW-Rock County.
If you haven’t seen all UW-Rock County can offer, I invite you to take a campus tour and meet with our helpful advisors in Student Services, so you, too, can get the best start on the life you want!
